The Exhibition Ground Brisbane is most famous for being the ground where Sir Donald Bradman made his debut. The Exhibition Ground in Brisbane was a popular cricket stadium, but it had a short existence as a cricket stadium and with the Gabba coming up, the Exhibition Ground was no longer used as a cricket ground.
It hosted 28 first class matches between 1893 and 1931 and two Test matches. In the first of these two, Bradman made his debut against England.
The ground has been the venue for many other sporting events. It was used extensively as a rugby field. Other sports held at the ground include Australian rules football, cycling, track events, and tennis. The ground is now no longer used to play cricket, but it continues to host many social gatherings, meetings and occasional sporting events.
