| The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is one of the oldest and most famous cricket grounds in the world. The stadium can seat a staggering 100,000 spectators at a time. The first cricket match was held at the MCG on September 30, 1854. The MCG is also historical for the ground hosted the first ever Test match to be played. The match was played between Australia and England in 1877.
