Barabati Stadium Cuttack
One of the smaller stadiums in the country, the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack has hosted just two Test matches, one of which was partially washed out by rain. It was on this ground that Kapil Dev claimed his 300th Test wicket and Narendra Hirwani took his 5 wickets for 59 runs against New Zealand. Dilip Vengsarkar also once scored 166 runs at the Barabati Stadium.

The ground has proved to be lucky for the Indians as they have never lost a Test match here and have won five out of the seven ODIs. The visiting teams however complain of the distance they have to travel by road as Cuttack is not connected by an airport. This has been one of the major reasons for the less number of international matches held at the Barabati Stadium Cuttack.
