The Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium Hyderabad is the oldest cricket ground in Hyderabad, India. It has hosted Tests from as long ago as 1955. Though it has not been the venue of too many international matches, the ground is famous for its batsman friendly wicket and the big runs that were normally scored here. The last Test was played here in 1988 and the last ODI was played in 2003.
Home ground to many legendary Indian batsmen like MAK Patuadi, Mohammad Azharuddin and VVS Laxman, this ground is steeped in history. One of the most historic innings was played on this ground in 1999-'00 when Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid scored the record partnership of 331 runs against New Zealand.
