Queen's Park Oval Port of Spain is the largest cricket ground in the West Indies. The ground has been home to the Queen's Park Cricket Club since 1896.
The Queen's Park Oval is one of the most scenic cricket grounds in the Caribbean. Initially the ground had a mat over it and the pitch was artificial, but after some renovation in 1954, the ground had its first turf pitch.
The ground is stunningly beautiful with hills all around it and the spectators always have a great time at the ground. Known to be a happy and enthusiastic lot, the fans add to the ground's character. They always have a lot to cheer about too as the ground is a batsman's paradise and big runs are always on the offering. It was on this ground that West Indies made 681 and Australia made 537 in 1957.
The ground is all set to host a number of matches in the 2007 World Cup and the matches surely promise to be filled with excitement and color, just like the stadium itself.
