Bulawayo Athletic Club is the home ground of the teams of Rhodesia and Matabeleland. The only time Bulawayo Athletic Club hosted a test match was in 1992, when Zimbabwe played against New Zealand. Bulawayo Athletic Club has hosted only a single one-day international.



The lone test match in Bulawayo Athletic Club was met with a lackadaisical reception. Over a thousand came on the first day and in the ensuing days the number dwindled drastically. The crowd response was a mortifying evidence of cricket's losing popularity in Zimbabwe.
