Craig White was born in England but grew up in Australia where he played domestic cricket for Victoria as well. However he shifted back to the country of his birth and became the first overseas player to play for Yorkshire. He was considered to be an overseas player as he was not selected in the England national team owing to the fact that he had played in Australia. He eventually played 30 Tests for England and scored 1052 runs. He was dropped after his disappointing performance against Australia in the 2002 Ashes series. He has not played Test cricket since. However he continues to play county cricket and has been captain of Yorkshire since 2005.
