Arshad Ayub entered international cricket in 1987 in the home series against West Indies. He bagged five wickets with his accurate offbreaks in the first test and went on to score a solid 57 batting at number nine in the 3rd test. Arshad Ayub continued to impress, as he emerged as the highest wicket taker with 21 wickets in the successful series against New Zealand. Later when India toured West Indies, Arshad Ayub continued his golden run by accumulating 14 wickets in four tests. Arshad Ayub's luck ran out as India toured Pakistan. He not only went wicketless but proved extremely expensive too. All his earlier contributions were forgotten and Arshad Ayub became a memory cast cruelly aside to fade. Arshad Ayub continued playing for Hyderabad and captained it for many years. He ended his first class career with 2224 runs and 268 wickets from 98 matches. livescore.warofcricket.com gives information on Arshad Ayub and other Great Cricket Players.
