Malcolm Marshall was much shorter than the other great West Indian fast bowlers of his time, but was very affective nonetheless. He debuted in 1978-'79 for West Indies, but did not manage to find a permanent place in the side till 5 years later. He then made a mark and was an integral part of the successful West Indian team under the leadership of Clive Lloyd till 1991. He took a total of 376 Test wickets at 20.94 and his strike rate of 46.7 balls per wicket is one of the very best. He was also quite a handy batsman, having scored 10 Test fifties with a highest score of 92. Marshall had a renowned domestic stint with Hampshire for over 15 seasons. In the 1982 season he took an astonishing 134 first-class wickets. He finished his first-class career in South Africa with Natal and 1651 wickets at 19.10 in 408 matches, scoring 11004 at an average of 24.83.

After his retirement post the 1992 World Cup, he coached the West Indian side when they were losing their grip on world cricket. While in England for the 1999 World Cup, he was diagnosed with cancer. He died in a span of 6 months, thus shoving the world into a state of shock and mourning. livescore.warofcricket.com gives information on Ivan Barrow and other Great Cricket Players.
