Rajin Saleh is one of the most talented batsman in Bangladesh. He first came to the notice of everybody when he averaged 56.20 in the Green Delta National League in 2000-01. He had played only five matches for Sylhet Division when he was included in the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI, which took on the Australian Cricket Academy the following year. Rajin Saleh is a technically sound batsman with a solid forward and back has quickly become a mainstay in the Bangladesh batting line-up. Before he had turned 21 years of age he was promoted to the captaincy for the Champions Trophy in England, after Habibul Bashar was injured.
